Use a Custom OpenAI API Key

If you would like to use your own OpenAI API Key for TheBrain's Generative AI features, follow the steps below:

If you have not already signed up for an OpenAI account, do so here.
Navigate to the Billing page and add a valid payment method
Navigate to the API Keys page and click the + Create new secret key button
Once the key has been generated, copy it, then paste it into the API Key text box in TheBrain's Preferences > Experimental > AI Settings menu.

The provided API Key will then be used for all AI features in TheBrain, as long as the Use custom OpenAI API Key option is enabled.
